Long Beach Junior Crew
REGISTRATION

     Long Beach Junior Crew (LBJC) is a coed rowing program for school students in Long Beach, San Pedro, Palos Verdes, Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, Huntington Beach and neighboring areas. Our competitive team is made up of young men and women from grades 9 - 12 and our recreational team is made of Middle School Students 12 years old and up.

     Prior experience is not necessary and we welcome experienced and brand new rowers alike. Our season runs from September through May. We have an open registration at the beginning of September and also in January.

Registration packets for varsity rowers will be accepted through Monday, September 8th and can be turned in at the beginning of practice on the 8th.  Registration packets for novice and rec rowers will be accepted through Monday, September 15th and can be turned in at the beginning of practice on the 15th.

 

All forms in the registration packet, including the liability release, must be signed and

turned in before athletes can be allowed to begin training.

 

 



Practice Schedule for Fall 2008

Varsity Men & Women:  Monday - Friday from 3:45PM to 6:15PM and Sat AM.
(At the coach's discretion ther may be one day during the week)

Novice Men & Women:  Monday - Friday from 3:45 to 6:15 PM

Recreational Team:  M-W-F from 4PM to 6PM

Please note that rain or shine we all practice unless notified. After all, it's an outdoor sport and we get wet anyhow!

 



UNIFORMS

     There are required uniforms and gear for the Varsity, Novice, and Recreational teams as well as optional items that that may be purchased by rowers, family members, and friends.  Please refer to the Uniform Order Form for a complete list.

 



     LBJC is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and donations to the club are tax-deductible. Donations can go into the general fund or be designated for a particular purpose--equipment, regatta, scholarships, etc.
